The action

With the “Food for Orphans” fundraising campaign, Islamic Relief Germany asks first Muslim humanitarian organization to joint social commitment. Across the country, thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims are currently gathering around a set table, talking to each other and helping orphans in need around the world.

Since the start of the campaign, nationwide over 200,000 people attended a meal. The campaign usually lasts six weeks and ends with the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, who serves as a model, as he himself was an orphan and at the same time cared for orphaned children all his life.
